Ellen's Cottage: Many years ago a young family created a lovely home by the sea. The years went by and the family grew up loving both the Pleasure Point area and the Cottage that held so many wonderful memories. They still visit regularly, but invite you to enjoy Ellen's (their mom's) Cottage too. It sleeps 6 guests, just 3 houses to the ocean and a few more steps to the first of several pet-friendly beaches. It has Cabled DSL high-speed computer link. TV, DVD etc. The large backyard grassy lawn has a great view of the Monterey Bay from a new redwood deck with outdoor table and umbrella and features a large hot tub. The Master bedroom has a Queen bed and is little a romantic fantasy with a draped headboard. The 2nd bedroom has a NEW Double futon that makes into a bed. This room has a privacy curtain and a door that leads to the outside backyard and hot tub. The 3rd bedroom has 2 twin beds one with a new mattress in a trundle style. (one fits under the other, until sleeping, then just pull the bottom bed out.) One off-street parking space complete a rare find in this popular area. BBQ and 2 lounge chairs and a table or sit on the redwood deck under the umbrella and have wonderful dining. Smell and hear the beach from this home! Great surfing beaches 3 houses away.
1 bath with bathtub. Large outdoor grassy yard with ocean view and relaxing large hot tub. Walk your dog along East Cliff Drive. No parking permits required near home. Pets OK. Friendly neighborhood. Bring bicycles and take a relaxing ride all along East Cliiff Drive; overlooking the ocean! and watch the many surfers and other dog walkers.
The Santa Cruz Boardwalk is a 7 minute drive away. Eat salt water taffy and ride all the rides, enjoy the ocean and arcades or play volleyball. Visit the seals at the end of the Wharf and have some clam chowder at Andy's at the end of the wharf. Plenty of beach shops and outdoor activities. There is a chartered boat that goes out and views seals and other Marine life! Walk 3 houses and a short block to 36th Avenue beach and down the stairs to the beach. Go over 2 more blocks to the left to a larger 38th Avenue beach; down the stairs. Or, walk to 26th Avenue beach with bathrooms, parking and very dog friendly; large beach! Try Hank's on the hook for breakfast; at the end of 41st Avenue or The Pink Godzilla (#1 voted) sushi restaurant. Plenty of near-by surf shops.
