This home is across from a lush open grassy field with set of stairs that go directly down to the Seacliff State Park and Beach; about 2 blocks from the home. Kite flying is enjoyable for the family in this field and dog walking.
Granite counters in open, fully equipped kitchen next to the dining area - which seats up to 8 guests - is next to one of the upstairs outdoor ocean view decks. This deck has a BBQ with natural gas delivery from the wall. Elegant touches of art grace the walls. Nicely decorated, modern home. There is an entertainment area with a TV, VCR, and DVD in the open, spacious and elegant Living Room and also a TV in each bedroom.
Ocean views from this homes open kitchen, Living Room, Dining Room and 2 outdoor decks. The home is only 4 houses to the cliff above the ocean with several benches for viewing the sea and sunsets or walk across the street to the open field.
1st Bedroom is the Master with a King bed with an adjoining large tile bath with soaking tub and separate large shower and double vanity sink. There is also a 1/2 bath on this level - right off of the Living Room. Downstairs is the 2nd Bedroom with a Queen bed and small TV. The 3rd Bedroom, which is also downstairs, is quite large and has a Queen bed on one side of the room and a Twin-trundle bed on the other. There is another full bath with shower/tub between the 2nd downstairs bedrooms. (There is also 1 cot - in the garage to be placed anywhere around the home.) The Living Room sofa has room for a short person to sleep in front of the fireplace and ocean view!
The back yard is fully-fenced with a delightful dry-stream bed and coastal wild grasses, flowers and an outdoor shower. Dog friendly. This is truly a quiet and peaceful home & very relaxing, according to several entries in the guest book. There is a single-car garage parking and driveway parking for up to 4-cars total. Great cliff views of the beach and fun bicycle riding paths. (Must bring your own bicycles.)
Monterey Bay is 45 minutes away. Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and Wharf is 20 minutes away. The charming Village of Capitola is just 8 minute drive or a 1/2-hr bike ride from the home.
Enjoy great shopping, beach dining, seal watching at the Santa Cruz Wharf. Seacliff has a small esplanade with a flower shop, restaurants, pizza place, clothing and video stores. ON the other side of the freeway, there is a larger shopping center with Safeway for groceries and movie theatre, deli and bookstore. Be sure to enjoy the benches to sit and watch the ocean from the cliff, have morning coffee and a refreshing walk. 2 beach chairs provided and 3 boogie boards.
Bring your own bicycles to bicycle along Seacliff Drive! or sit 5 houses away and sip coffee over the ocean on the benches on the cliff.
